Whew! Day two of work experience a.k.a. preschool and day four of this week is over! I'm finding myself getting more and more tired (just found myself typing the word tireder and realised that wasn't a word <--proof of my tiredness!) Currently my schedule looks like this: Monday uni, Monday night study, Tuesday running, study then uni, Wednesday and Thursday consist of working at preschool then running and studying at night, Friday is usually study or do whatever day, oh and running of course. Then the weekend brings some much needed relax time, mixed in with some running (surprise surprise) and you'll never guess what else? STUDY! Yes, it's getting pretty repetitive but at least I'm starting to get a bit of a system down. I'm good with systems.
It seems I've been so caught up with study, "work" and more study that I forgot to post these cute cupcakes I made a few weeks ago. I made them for my friends birthday who is also in my class. She is a sign language interpreter and is also training to be an early childhood education teacher. Apparently the symbol for sign language is a butterfly as a it is also deaf. Bearing this in mind, I made my friend a cute butterfly cupcake for her birthday and seeing as we had class the night of her birthday, I made the whole class (all 50 of them!) mini cupcakes too. I used a fondant ejector tool I have which has tiny little shapes, one being a bow that actually looks like a tiny butterfly, how convenient!
On to Friday now. Lucky for me I have a nice day planned, firstly a blogging date with my friend, Emma who has recently started up a lovely little blog called Love and Sugar. Hopefully we'll also be able to pop into Bluebells Cakery for a cupcake treat then I'm off to buy some cheap clothes fit for preschool with all that money I don't have.
What do you have planned for your weekend? Does it involve baking? Hope so! Baking makes everything better!

Wow love the butterfly one. Lucky friend and class! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Cecilia!
DeleteYes my class enjoyed them, I could tell because they were all Facebooking about it in class instead of doing work! Haha! (boring class)
